Something that surprises me in a good way is the patriotism of the students. Every single day, they sworn the Pledge of Allegiance, which is an oath of loyalty to the republic - "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all".
Anyway, I went to Steak n' Shake on Thursday with some friends, and it was a lot of fun! On Friday, my grandparents came to Terre Haute, as they do every week. They are helping my host parents rewire the house. Then, grandma and I made Goofing Carrot-nose, our snowman! He is so cuuute! Later on, Ashley and Kallie picked me up and we went to a basketball game of our school in the city of Brazil. I stayed the night at Kallie's house and we watched Baby Mama! On Saturday morning, mom and dad picked me up and we went right to Alina's house. She is a german girl that I met at my school. She stayed all day at my house. We played cards and went to the movies to watch Percy Jackson - The Lightning Thief. I was expecting more about this film, but it was not bad at all. She is a good friend, and I learned a lot about her culture!
I just can't believe I'm almost coming back to Brasil...time is flying by so fast!
